Negotiation and Mediation
Our advice is always focused on resolving a dispute through negotiation which is the quickest and most costs effective manner for our clients. This can be done through mediation or even by correspondence.
Negotiation is a valuable tool in reaching a settlement because it leads to an outcome that both parties have participated in and compromised on. During the process they can address their fears, concerns and reasoning for their position.
Once an agreement is reached is can be reflected in a number of ways including:
- Consent Orders – A legally binding documents addressing parenting and or property agreements which drafted and filed with the Court.
- Parenting Plans – an agreement which is signed by the parties and reflects an agreement for the parenting arrangements of the children.
- Binding Financial Agreements – A legally binding document which is reflects the parties property agreement and is signed and witnessed by the individuals and their respective lawyers.
